Generally speaking, a baptism is a Christian ritual or sacrament symbolizing the cleansing of sins or other spiritual impurities. This is the same between most denomination of Christianity. However, the method of and age of baptism varies throughout the denominations. The Catholic church sprinkles a baby with Holy Water to lead the baby into a blessed life. Whole submersion into water symbolized rebirth in Christ and personal salvation. The ritual of baptism,
regardless of the form it takes, is an act of contrition which provides the recipient with a sense of renewed purpose and
dedication, and this is something to celebrate to the fullest.
